We have been working on coat and shoe independence at school!
Shoes: The teachers and I shake out the socks and loosen up the shoes. Then we have the children try to put them on. We offer assistance as needed, but we try to to see if they can do it on their own.
Coats: We lay out the coats and have the children put their arms in first and then lift the coat up and around. It is a fun and silly way to put your coat on! (Below is a picture)
